Nancy Edmunds' 1 year old Vizsla male, Vizcaya's Fantasy Finish, finished with 3 majors at the Concord NC shows in November. He was only shown 3 weekends!! He truly was a Fantasy Finish!!  Nancy is super proud and so are we. (2008-12-23-02/2008-12-23)

Janet Calpin's Lacey, Redfield Fancy That, finished her championship at the Cherokee Rose Cluster on Saturday August 23, 2008!  This makes the 2nd champion for Lacey's sire, Ch. Aletian Wistwin Comic Relief (Mickey) and the 1st for her dam, Redfield Iridescent (both majors).  Lacey was bred by Jean Adair and Mary Mahaffey who also co-own her.  We are very proud of Janet and Lacey.  Lacey was handled by Nick & Joel for all of her points. 2008-08-23/2008-09-10)

Windamir Bifrost Von Shuringer aka "Lili", Jim & Martha Brewster's German Pinscher, got her first major at the August Annapolis, Md. KC show.  With this 3 point major and the two points she had already received at other shows she now has a total of 5 points.  Way to go Lili!!!!2008-08-22)

Junior Showmanship team Gillian Caudill and English Springer Spaniel, CH Kismet Harry Potter, received 2 Open Senior and a Best Junior Handler nod at shows in Tennessee May 17-18, 2008. Gillian is qualified for competition at the Westminster Kennel Club show in February 2009. (2008-05-22)
 
Junior Showmanship team Gillian Caudill and CH V. Schwalbe's Dizzy Gillespie MW (Dachshund - Wirehaired) received Open Senior/Best Junior Handler recognition at the Mid-Atlantic Hound Association of Central North Carolina on May 10 & 11, 2008. Vizsla Csaba owned and loved by Nancy Edmunds took 2 back-to-back 5 point majors at the Specility in Perry, GA.  At 11 months of age he made the cut in Breed out of 14! (2008-05-05)

CH Vizcaya's Raisin Caine MH VC CGC "Raisin" owned by Julie Bender and bred by Nancy Edmunds recently earned her Master Hunter title, a first for Nancy's breeding.  Both Julie and Nancy are very proud of that girl and Nancy is so very proud of the team of Julie and Raisin! (2008-03-17)
   

Dixie Westmoreland's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Betty, recently completed the requirements (40 hours of therapy work) for Cavalier - Therapy Companion, a therapy title offered by the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel  Club, USA.  She is now known in the Cavalier world as OkayC Expresso at Brookhaven, C-TC, CGC, TDIA.

   

On Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Sawnee Mt. KC show, Redfield Fancy That, "Lacey", went BW & BOW for 1 point under Judge Roberta Campbell and then on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the Conyers KC show she went WB & BOS for 2 points under Judge Virginia Lyne.  2 points to go!!(2008-02-05)

   

On Saturday, February 2, 2008, Sandra Kesler's girl, "Nova's Spice it Up", took Best of Winners at the Jonesboro shows to finish and became a new Champion!!!!(2008-02-03)

AKC has awarded Robert & Janet Schwalbe the Silver Breeder Medallion which is reserved for breeders that have 5 dogs/bitches that are breeder-owner-handled to their Championship title.  With Darcie's wins Robert & Janet will move to the Gold Breeder Status next year. (2008-01-27)

   

Darcie's win gives her father DC Hans Solo Schwalbe JE, CGC "Solo" his ROMX-Register of Merit Excellent from the Dachshund Club of America.  To qualify Solo had to have sired 10 champions and 2 of these Champions had to have achieved one of the qualitative requirements. A specialty win by Ch VSchwalbes Last Romance MW "Romeo" and Group 1  by Ch VSchwalbes My Girl "Mya" were the two qualifiers that provided him this title. (2008-01-27)

Janet Schwalbe received notice that she had completed her provisional Junior Judging assignment and had been approved for regular judging status. (2008-01-27)

   

Robert Schwalbe was voted on and selected by Dachshund Club of America members to judge the National Field Trial and he was also selected to judge the host clubs event in Dallas TX.  Robert was one of 8 selected out of 18 candidates for the assignment. (2008-01-27)

On December 12, 2007, Janet Calpin's Lacey (Redfield Fancy That) picked up 2 more points at the Forsyth KC show under Judge June Penta. (2008-01-22)
